Intersolar Europe 2022: Day 2
Welcome to the second day of coverage for Intersolar Europe 2022, where we discover the newest technology the solar sector has to offer.
SVMAN: Foldable Solar Panels
Day 2: Thursday - 12 May 2022 - 10:00
SVMAN revealed its latest innovation, a foldable PV module which can be folded and return to its original shape without any effect on the structure of the cells.
It is made from half-cut monocrystalline solar cells, with a power of up to 430Watts.
The foldable modules come with 12 years product warranty and 25 years of linear power warranty.
SpiderNewTech: Spider autonomous for cutting grass under PV modules
Day 2: Thursday - 12 May 2022 - 10:30
SpiderNewTech introduced its Spider autonomous robot for cutting grass under PV modules in large PV plants autonomously and effectively.
The robot has a built-in GPS which can be used to determine the robot’s route and it will follow it without any human interference.
It uses petrol to work which makes it suitable to cover wide areas in distant PV plants.
It is easy to use and control. One person can control up to three robots at once and they can cover a 5MW PV plant in one day.
MITREX: Every Building is a micro-power plant
Day 2: Thursday - 12 May 2022 - 11:30
MITREX presented its BIPV modules which are manufactured in Canada.
MITREX provides a wide collection of colours to meet all clients requests and can manufacture its module with different sizes and dimmenions (64 sizes).
The BIPV module is made either from monocrystalline solar cells or thin film and can be made to replace almost every part of the building (railings, sidings, and solar glass., etc).
MITREX promise to deliver its products all around the world.
Platio Solar: Solar Paver to generate power from pavements
Day 2: Thursday - 12 May 2022 - 12:00
Solar Paver is the new solar tiles to replace regular pavements.
Each Solar Paver module can generate up to 20W and we can connect up to 20 or 22 modules together and connect them to a microinverter.
Solar Paver can withstand high weight up to 2 tones (the weigh of small car).
It also has frames made from recycled plastic and glass, and it is covered with non-slipper glass.
BayWa: New look on agrivoltaics
Day 2: Thursday - 12 May 2022 - 12:30
Baywa presented its new agrivoltaics system which uses transparent PV modules above farmed ground which allow part of the solar light to reach the plants to help them grow.
Although the transparent module has less convergence efficiency when compared with regular modules, it provides enough shades and protection to the crops, and with the design of the structure, you can plan the irrigation tubes and the systems’ cables in a unified layout.
Solimpeks: Solar Thermal or Solar PV? Say "Both"
Day 2: Thursday - 12 May 2022 - 13:30
New solar PV modules from Solimpeks with power generation up to 400W.
The new PERC module combines PV technology with thermal technology by utilising the thermal tubes placed behind the modules to help in cooling the module by absorbing heat and using it to heat the water.
Paxos: introducing solar tiles
Day 2: Thursday - 12 May 2022 - 14:00
Paxos presented solar tiles with different colours and shapes to suit every application.
These solar tiles are easy to install and remove and have a design to be installed with a wide air gap behind them for ventilation and cooling.
